Philips Healthcare Information Solutions Central Technical Implementation Specialist in Genua, Italy


In this role, you have the opportunity to

be responsible for Healthcare Information Solutions (HCIS) PACS, RIS and third party system integrations.

As this role is third level of system implementation and second/third level of system integration the Technical Implementation Specialist is required to make qualified technical decisions, ensure implementation is in line with specified requirements and to assist in resolving customer requests and issues. The Central Technical Implementation Specialist is responsible for the delivery of complex projects in the EMEA area, including: very large or regional solutions, key customers, bespoke or controlled release solutions.

You are responsible to

  • Deliver a controlled implementation of assigned HCIS projects. Liaising with Technical Lead, Project Managers, Customers, other Philips HCIS technical teams, Applications consultants, 3rd party suppliers and the CS Sales team.

  • Provide technical assistance to Technical Lead, Project Managers, Applications team, Incident Support team, Customers and Sales as required or directed.

  • Provide enhancements and remote configurations to customer sites throughout the assigned geography (Europe)

  • Manage problems and defects raised as part of the delivery and leverage escalation to Level4 support and product teams when necessary.

  • Where appropriate, develop and implement work around solutions.

  • Maintain the PACS and RIS information database for logging/tracking service at each site.

  • Provide additional consulting, reporting and maintenance services to customers.

  • Meet with HCIS services, applications and sales teams as required to provide customer feedback, assist with project plans and align schedules. Provide back up as necessary to other team members.

  • Support the HCIS Incident Support team in the accumulation and distribution of technical information and when necessary support upgrades of PACS and RIS solutions.

  • Develop documentation including detailed description about bespoke configurations or non-standard procedures that apply to the system and collaborate with release service teams for the enforcement of quality standard.

  • Provide assistance and advice to the local teams in connection with generating sales of PACS and RIS solutions.

  • Provide technical advice on software and hardware upgrades You are a part of the Central Delivery team responsible for Europe HCIS (Healthcare Information Solutions) implementation activities, based in Genoa. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • University Degree/Master Degree or equivalent in IT, technical field, or a related field

  • 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Experience of Oracle and SQL based Programming Language, (PL/SQL developer)

  • Intermediate understanding of programming languages, especially Perl and Power Shell scripting

  • Storage Platforms technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS, tape libraries)

  • Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)

  • Demonstrated acumen for understanding applications, workflow and network environments

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem analysis skills

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server Operating Systems

  • Italian mother tongue and excellent verbal and written English language skills
