Kelly Services Engineering Intern/EIT in Indianapolis, Indiana

Engineering Intern: Daily responsibilities, safety requirements, tools/equipment utilized, projects, tasks, education discipline, licenses, certifications, specialized training, experience required and key deliverables in order of importance. 1. Personal Safety a. Learn and Work safely at site: safety requirements. b. Must be able to walk site, climb ladders, hot/ cold work environments, and wear proper Personnel Protective Equipment as needed at all times. c. Actively participate in Safety meetings and daily tool-box talks as job dictates. 2. Process Safety a. Identify the managers for each lab and document the Equipment Process Safety information via mapping and excel databases. b. Check labs for cross-connections of utilities. c. Obtain greater working knowledge Process Safety Program. i. Hands on applications as appropriate. 3. Reliability Highly Reliable Organization a. Asset tagging of serviceable assets on our critical systems. b. Create Piping Instrumentation Diagrams critical systems. i. AutoCAD software experience would help. 1. LOFM Engineering Technicians can assistance as necessary. 4. Interact with Maximo Maintenance Software asset and location validation/survey for equipment Preventive Maintenance program. a. Maximo is global software for the general maintenance industry. 5. Fill out data capture forms for GMISS equipment. a. Will train DAS/ Dow s Good Mechanical Safety Standards . b. Analyze site mechanical pumps for deadhead protection and enter information into an Excel spreadsheet. c. Review Pressure Vessel maintenance and inspection reports. 6. Shadow Reliability Engineering project team. a. Understand how Reliability starts at beginning of Project. i. Gain working knowledge of internal Global Project Methodology Program. Prefer 2nd semester freshman or sophomore engineering student who would like to gain some on the job experience during the school year. This is a 20 hour per week assignment and could grow to 40 hours per week during summers depending on business conditions work, budget, performance, etc. . Seeking candidate with in in an engineering curriculum with a genuine desire to learn.
